Yup. Things sink into memory during sleep. If you're writing papers, this is moot, but if you're actually studying and memorizing things then you'll retain a lot more information more efficiently if you're able to sleep every so often. In this type of situation I'd recommend sleeping pills before adderall. It's counter-intuitive, but.. like I said, sleep is necessary to memory. Without sleep, you might think you're awake but it doesn't mean that everything you're studying won't slip out of your head come the test.

So yes, you should give yourself sleep time. Not just because of memory benefits but because lack of sleep also weakens your immune system (want to get sick while you're trying to study?) and if you go too long, you'll start to hallucinate and really be in a shitty situation. Adderall won't keep that from happening.
