as far as the response of this board goes, if a lesbian girl posted this question about a guy propositioning her, there'd be outrage.
Its interesting though that if it were a girl propositioning a straight girl, it wouldn't be an issue.

While there are a lot of issues with selling oneself, I think that most of the judgment that is directed toward prostitution is based on a pseudo morality that really only serves to create a sense of superiority. The reality is that we all 'prostitute' ourselves daily. But anything that has to do with sex is deemed offensive. Whether that comes from some kind of religious morality or from a sense of bastardization of an intimate act is up in the air.
Now with all that said, I'm a bit of a hypocrite. Why? Because it would really take me being against the wall to consider going that route just because of the stigma and judgment about it. However, I can't judge the original poster harshly because it sounds like his back is against the wall. What's better? To let some man suck your dick or to starve or go without shelter...
So I can't judge and that's why I posted what I did earlier. People have done far worse things for money. If he is going to prostitute or sell himself, letting some kinda creepy desperate horny gay guy suck your dick is probably one of the more mild forms I can think of.
My only advice is to use caution and to listen to your instincts. If you sense something is seriously wrong and dangerous, then act accordingly.

To be fair, that's not exactly a valid comparison. We aren't talking about a gay guy being propositioned by a straight girl. This is about a straight guy being propositioned by a gay guy.
However, that said, I don't know if I agree with your assertion. But it's all moot anyway as it is speculation.

On the Craven comment... didn`t he actually die? Like choked on a white-wing, or a milt mustache, or whatever his word for felch is this week? Can not say this would be a poor means of demise for him, but still sort of tragic, at least in a 'What the Hell?' sort of way.
Meanwhile, on the original topic, this sort of reminds me of Harold and Kumar at Gitmo. Ya know... my opinion tends to be that getting a blowjob from another man is still gay. Cuz... it`s sex... with ... another man.

Of course, another really scary consideration is what if you get a 'rough trick'? Can you run fast? Got a knife? Sorry if that seems graphic. I am sure the odds are against this sort of thing happening. As someone who examines problems though, I can not help but explore all the possible permutations of a situation.
Almost compulsive for me to ask, 'How bad can it get?, and What am I going to do about it?' I`m a-thinking if you continue this course, such thinking might be a good habit to pick up.
