I work FUCKING hard for my money, I'm on only slightly more than minimum wage, and I'd have no problem whatsoever with giving away some of it to local businesses, in order that they could compete with multinationals like ASDA. In fact, when I book flights, I even tick the little box that asks if I want to pay extra to compensate for my carbon footprint. And... shock horror... I DON'T HAVE TO!!

Some of us are willing to help out our fellow man even when there's nothing in it for us other than a sense of moral superiority over some internet peoples.

Thats great that you can afford to. Congrats. It's also great that you can afford to fly places, but I don't think money is going to save the planet.

So YOU want to support local business with tax, so you think everyone should?
Personally, if I want to support local business, I use their services.

And having more money to be able to hand out than someone else certainly doesn't give you moral superiority. You seem to make out like you're some fucking peace and freedom loving hippy, but at the end of the day you're just like everybody else. Judging people on how much money they have.

Personally, any spare penny I have goes toward helping my parents, who can't afford to fucking live., not to some fucking faceless stranger who decided to start up a shitty overpriced business, you judgmental twat.

Yeah, I mean what with flights to Europe costing less than a night out, you can easily tell that I'm rolling in cash. But by all means, do convince yourself that doing fuck all is just as effective than doing something. Whatever makes you feel good.

So YOU want to support local business with tax, so you think everyone should?
Yep. Although it's transparently deceitful to suggest that I want everyone else to do it just because I'm doing it myself. Local industry is far more important for the country's economy, and for the welfare of society, than multinational profiteering.

That's great that you can afford nights out.

    Seriously? That's all you've got?

I've told you where any spare money I have goes. Helping 'real' people, who I know, and love, who struggle to get by.
I know two people who are on the verge of losing their houses, I know people who actually struggle to find money to eat. I know elderly people who can't afford heating, and someone who is in loads of debt from not being able to work because they had fucking cancer. I'll be damned if I'm going to give money to strangers or give more money to the government and business's while I watch people I know go without.

Well, if it isn't the voice of middle England, speaking out once again.

I missed your spiel about helping the people you know, which, before you frame it as such, I'm not knocking. I do the same, by a multitude of means I don't need to go into to prove a point to you, but I also try to help wider society. I know that this pains you immensely, but then it would, because you're coming at this with a bit of a conflict of interests, aren't you?

Nice computer and internet connection, by the way.

Wow, I'm impressed, I'd have thought you'd spend too much being a self-righteous prick to have much time left for anything else but ticking boxes.

Edit: This isn't my computer. I live in a tent in the town centre and work full time so i can give ALL my money to starving african children.

And now you're stooping so low as to take the piss out of charity?

It must be so good to be you. Tell me, doesn't it get confusing being gay whilst trying to pledge allegiance to the Daily Mail?

Oh that's right... don't you work for ASDA? Or at least, you used to, right?

Suddenly the fog of confusion lifts...

You're very bitter. Working for Walmart is destroying your soul, one Horcrux at a time. To think, you used to be such a nice girl.

Still, if I were in your shoes I'd probably be as internally ugly as you are.

    How's that for empathy?

Here you go, have an early Christmas present, to help you sleep a little better at night:

    Haha...I like this:

"In fact, when I book flights, I even tick the little box that asks if I want to pay extra to compensate for my carbon footprint. And... shock horror... I DON'T HAVE TO!!"

"But by all means, do convince yourself that doing fuck all is just as effective than doing something. Whatever makes you feel good."

By all means Tri, go ahead and believe that by ticking that little box, you are actually doing something worthwhile, and not just buying into being 'green'.
she's not that kind of a girl, booger!

Sorry, has the world lost all sense of reality in my absense?

'Buying into being green', you make it sound like it's some trend that will soon pass, what the fuck is going on? Do you actually know what ticking that box, and paying the extra money does? It's not like some fashion label, or self-delusion, the money goes directly to community projects which save the exact same amount of carbon dioxide my role in that flight created... what am I missing here?

    'Buying into being green.'

Is this some joke I'm missing? You're both actually just joking, right?
