Never heard that in my life.
Never heard that in my life.
The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes... Adolf Hitler
Ughhh... Never heard of that. Gosh.. I'm gonna stop wearing lipgloss and lipstick if that's the case..... I wonder what Chapstick or Carmex means? Could you ask your female friends for me? Or if I wanted to imply that I was a married mom what could I put on my lips?? Diaper Rash Cream maybe? Kidding!!
But seriously... I've never heard of that.. or even thought of it!?
That's nuts. I wear lip gloss cuz I love shiny things =P I think those girls have weird ideas
i very rarely wear lipstick. Maybe i know that everyone already knows i have a vagina and i don't need to remind them

I think it's meant the other way around. Women don't wear lipstick to not draw attention to the fact that they have a vagina. Like, in my engineering department, none of the girls wear lipstick. Same goes for the math and sciences, except bio chem. They do wear lip balm though, but nothing shiny.
Come to think of it, I don't even think they wear make up. I sometimes forget we have girls in our department, lol. They're still pretty though.
I don't think its a vagina thing, but it is probably sexual. I thought it was because in a state of sexual arousal one's mouth becomes more red due to blood flow, or something.
Its like stillettos recreate the way your foot is when you orgasm.

By that logic, I should walk around with an O face to attract women.
Makes sense though
i think it only works to attract men. Women are attracted to different things

Yeah, I heard the blood thing- it's also a sign of health. Kinda like how if you see someone whose face is really pale and their lips are the same color as the rest of their skin, you think they're really ill or something. So of course, blushed cheeks and red lips are a sign of health.
But.. to remind men they have a vagina?! That's.. er.. honestly quite gross. If I thought about my vagina whenever I put on lipgloss.. er.. how odd. I think you have odd friends, Tri.![]()
The state of my vagina is something i want to announce like a mood ring depending on what i wear on my lips.
I don't know about the vagina thing but...I guess wearing lipstick started out as a sexual thing. A woman's lips are quite sensual. All pouty and kissable. If I wear a lip gloss it makes me feel sexier, I spose.
I don't wear lipstick. Usually I just use a beeswax type lip balm. I struggle to brush my hair regularly haha, I'm not the lipstick type. It's a professional look, though, I wear it if I'm going for a job interview. I know a few businesses where the women are required to wear lipstick everyday, along with stockings and high heels. I would not work at a place like that. I would sooner drink my own wee.
she's not that kind of a girl, booger!
OMG! there are places that force you to wear high heals? what if you have giant feet and can't find heels?
I think that's the great thing about working in the tropics, is that its so hot that even corporate wear gets quite relaxed. I can't think of any place that would require you to wear stockings, here

i think that if you put anything on your lips, it draws attention to them... whether they're shiney or a brighter color, it's picked up on by a male (or female) on some level or another.
i notice when my gfs wear something besides chapstick on their lips. not in the "ooh DSL!" way, but i notice.
and when i opt to put gloss on (i don't do lipstick, it looks bad on me), i notice that some guys i've dated will prefer to kiss my cheek instead so they don't get it on themselves... not as a rule, but it's happened.
'Cause I'm that fool that broke the key- I'm unlockable so don't check me- I got weight on my shoulders and things on my mind- The sky is falling and I'm falling behind... No shame in my game just par for the path- I try to hone my craft because at hand's the task- But I find I'm not playing with a full deck- I'm up to my neck like Toulouse Lautrec
On the rare occasion I wear lipstick it jsut means I'm attempting to look glamourous.. and I'm probably wearing enough other makeup that could be ruined that no one can kiss me, because then i'd end up looking like a tramp and/or smearing gloss everywhere messing up the rest of my look. But if you apply either of these in public in a provocative way, that might be different. there is that whole "lip licking" flirtation, and gloss could be considered a play on that - my lips look like this because I want it bad. I would say out of every kind of makeup lipstick is the most sexual just because it's the lips.
I keep meaning to try lip stains, it would be good to find one that just brought out a little bit of natural red without the waxiness and mess--if when it faded off it still looked even and not lighter colored in the middle.
Required to wear lipstick and high heels - hell no would I work there, either. That sort of seems like it so sexist it should be illegal.
