Oh, yeah, this is completely the wrong forum for this. I meant it to be in Body of Mine.
Who here is a registered organ donor?
I bring this up because my dad had kidney failure and was on dialysis for a few years. He died when I was a kid, before any match came up on the two waitlists he was on.. so this is something that's very important to me. Needless to say, I am an organ donor and so is basically everyone else in my family.
Anyway, if you're not registered and you want to be, it's really easy.

Yeah, i'm one. Maybe when I die, they can figure out why I'm so fucked up.

stuff is just stuff. your emotional health is much more important. holding raging anger in is more harmful than your faggot-assed tv that probably deserves to get its ass beat anyway.
My dad was an organ donor. At least I think he was. After he died, they called to ask me if he was a donor. I was confused as to why they didn't already know. Either way, we said he was. He would've wanted to be, if he wasn't already. My dad had Rhumatoid Arthritis and he was taking medication for it that was injected into his arm. Since it was a medication that was injected into the muscle, they couldn't use any of his organs. The only thing they could use was his corneas. It would be nice to know who they went to and how that all worked out.
I'm not registered as an organ donor, but I will do that. Thanks for the link.

I registered when i turned 18. I had read somewhere that even if you have regisitered, they still need permission from the family before they take your organs, and they can veto it even if its what you wanted.

My father became an "accidental" organ donor, he didn't understand what they were asking him so he said Yes to being an organ donor. Gotta love language barriers..![]()

I have a card and a motorcycle. Pretty good odds, ain`t it?
Ditto on letting your relatives know. Getting the double surprise of hearing you`re dead, and they would like to cut out your liver for donation can make a person`s judgement sort of fragile. They might get a little possessive.
Ayuh, not dead yet. Might change that with an S1000RR though
