    i've been using a straight-edge for the last couple of years, problem is it can really irritate my skin because i get acne pretty bad.
    Just wondering if electric razors are more friendly on the skin?

    Ahoy der fellow hairy man! Capt'n Morgan be using both! Using an electric razor might reduce yer break outs. However, before ye go out to purchase one, I be suggesting that ye make sure that it be not yer shaving cream or yer after-shave that be making ye break out.

    thanks cap, hadn't thought about the shaving cream causing it, but i'm pretty sure it's the blade doing most of the damage...

    Actually, Kenyon, it's probably the shaving cream or aftershave or whatever. Shaving CAN be harmful, but more likely it's the goop you put on your face. You ought to check out the ingredients for things like alcohol of any kind, or sodium lauryl sulfate, or things like that.

    But in any case, my dad always recommends the electric razor, and he never seems to have a problem with shaving.

    Electric = win

    Seriously. Electric is much much easier to use, less messy, quicker, friendlier on the skin, the list goes on. Only reason people use analogue is because the electric razor costs quite a bit. But it pays off in the long run. Also its MUCH better for you if you have acne like I do, irritates them much less.

    Once you start using electric you wont look back.
