But to the Big Day Out....Oh man it was fricking awesome.
My mate chucked me on his shoulders to watch my favorite band (Karnivool, go on, get some of their shit) close up, it was the best minute of my life coz I was singing to Ian Kenny who was singin back at me...and then we got shoved from behind and I got hurled into the crowd haha. I managed to land safely with my bag, drink bottle and thongs though so all is well!
Then when RATM came on...holy shit...there were people on top of roofs, hanging in trees and towers and the gig had to be stopped and a guy got on the mic and told the crowd to tell all the idiots to get down...I've never seen anyone band together like this before. The whole crowd (tens of thousands of people) started screaming and throwing bottles at the purpatrators...pulling the dicks out of the trees by the ankles and almost rioting it was fucken awesome. There was a steaker on the roof too. And some cockhead fell off and went to hospital. Hah, some poor bitch OD'd at 11.10. Gates opened at 11. What a wanker..
