Thread: Racial Conflict

Wait... er... you want a girlfriend, and you like this girl. But the reason you don't want to date her is because, "because of the peer presure... well i dont want a nuclear fallout if i say yes."

What on earth do you mean by that? Will people dislike you if you go out with a Pakistani girl...?

I mean if i say "yes" then all my friends would start to totally comment on it all the time and i mean all the time! My best friend at school shaun always annoys me over who i date i dont mean the odd comment i mean constantly and telling the people arround him. Then it will spread arround the school and i will get slagged even more off the arseholes in the school.
Its all very well saying why should you care what other people think but when it comes right down to it it bothers you a lot.

Pakistans arn't "black" darling. Afriacan Americans are "black". Because I am half African American I think I would know what race is considerd "black".

The coulour or ones skin or where they are from or their sex or their hair coulor ect. does NOT change who a person is inside. A person can be purple with green hair, but the point is that there still human and they have feelings like you and I. you can't hate someone for the way they were born. Don't let your friends tell you any different either.

My sister has gone to get a job and shes lighter skin then I am and she has not gotten the job because she is "Black". It's sometimes hard being any racial background that isnt white, because white is considered "normal".

I'v had guys parents tell them to never talk to me agian because of my skin coulor. But don't get me wrong it's not allways a bad thing to be of a different racial background. Some people think people of different racial background are beautifull, and I know guys who will only go out with girls of different racial backgrounds then their own.

I feel really different sometimes and wish I would just blend in with the "normal". It hurts alot when i get all the nasty coments or see my brother or sister being hurt by them.

I could go on forever about how people have hurt me or someone I know just because of the coulor of there skin. I'v bin called a ni**er to many times to sit back and watch someone be picked on because of thier race ect.

I hope you make a better desicion then you have. But you also can't be with a person you basically know nuthing about. Get to know someone before you walk away, she may end up changing your life forever,, In a good way. - Rosa -

If your worryed so much about what other people are going to say you may want to leave dating till after schools finished and set your mind on school and school only.

I see plenty of mixed couples. There shouldn't be any issue, except if your parents got funny about it, or something. If you like 'em, go for it.

Ok ive decided, im going to ask her out tommorow.
I know i was being stupid to what people think.
Anyway theres not much they can say our school is strict on racism because like 1/3 of the school is well pakistani's.
So im going to ask her out to the movies. Im going to approach her when shes alone and ask "Hey [name], do you want to go to the pictures sometime?"
if no "Ok no problem cya later" if yes "Then can i call you?"

Is this ok the asking i mean.

Aww thats really cute. But what if there's never a time when she is alone. If and when you go to the movies I wanna know how it turned out .
