My boyfriend and I switch.
He is adorable... he has this complex about being my knight in shining armor. If I try adn say, hold the door for him he makes me go through first.
But yeah, sometimes he pays, sometimes I pay, sometimes we go dutch.
With my ex, we took turns. Or if one of us was broke that week, the other would pay, or if someone was celebrating something. On the first date, I expect the guy to pay, but other then that, not at all. I think it should equal out somehow in the end. Like at the movies, one person pays for admission, the other pays for snacks.
