    If she doesn&#39;t like hamster, maybe you could get her a nice potted plant?

    You can buy them online or at any floral store. Potted plants usually live a while, too. Tie a pretty bow around it, write a nice card, you could even name it. Romance is what you make of it.
    Also, if you have enough money, you could do the Flowers by the Month thing, where each month a different bouquet is delivered to her. Most online florists have this option, as does RedEnvelope.com. It&#39;s a pretty cool thing, I think.

    Good luck with whatever you decide to do... I&#39;m sure she love anything you chose.

    Heh, just in case anyone cares (unlikely), heres an update.

    Thanks for everyones replies. I didn&#39;t go with a Hamster in the end, there was no room to transport it home . This became annoying sometime later when it was revealed a Hamster would have gone down as quite a nice gift - She&#39;s had about 10 before, and loves the furry little bastards.

    Well anyway, to cut a long story short I got her a rainbow-maker instead, which went down pretty well. So score one for me, I might get her a Hamster when I get back to Uni though, depending on how nice I&#39;m feeling.

    And after reading this thread and some others, it becomes apparent that some people shouldn&#39;t be allowed to post in the relationship forum
