I am happy to see everyone giving correct advice, so I really don't need to say much. I've had a "I see you as a little brother" episode, and it really sucked.

You are correct: our culture has no clue about how male-female interaction actually works, so guys are often trained in ways that actually make them worse with women.

You see, if you are nice to a woman, there will be one of two results:

- She is nice to you back
- She uses you

However, the result is never:
- She is attracted to you

Niceness is not sexually attractive, period. It is platonically attractive. She may love you for your personality, but that is different from her wanting to jump your bones. Seeking the approval of women and constantly trying to please them does not make them sexually attracted to you.

Check out the Ladder Theory. It is much too bitter for my taste, but it offers a couple theories behind this kind of thing.

I actually prefer nice guys. I think you do stand a chance... I wouldn't want a boyfriend I couldn't be friends with, and being friends is a good way to start it

Hell, I actually have the same problem myself, many male friends and no boyfriend. Some of them are gay tho.

And when they tell you you're like their best friend, THEN tell you want to be more

Yes I just happen to disagree with everybody else.

I think you&#39;re definitely in there dude. You just need to start acting more nicer towards her, and be more romantic. Write her a poem and buy her chocolate and flowers. If hollywood has taught me anything, then with this method, you are sure to succeed.

Sourfox and Dpuck are right. I dont see a way for you with that girl. Try to be yourself, and dont be all buddy buddy with them. Have to keep a little more distance than that in there if you want to be more than friends, from where I see it.
