Thread: One month anniversary

well, i don't know how old you are...i mean, i know that high schooler relationships and such (at least around here) celebrate 1 month, etc. anniversaries w flowers, gifts, nice date...basically anything...

me personally don't really "celebrate" month anniversaries in relationships. We acknowledge them, but unless they're like, 6 month or a year mark or something like that...don't do anything out of the ordinary...

on the other hand, in past relationships i've had, sometimes we'll just be spontaneous and out of the blue just have a really special night...candles, nice dinner, walk in the park...the list goes on. so i can't really tell from personal experience if people really strictly celebrate things like, 1 month or 2 month or whatever anniversaries.

hope some others have some more insight.

i'd say, go with u'r gut: if you want to celebrate, then go right ahead

If you celebrated every month, anniversaries would be boring and meaningless, and you'd be broke all the time. If she sticks with your sorry ass for a year, then you can celebrate it.

get tattoos of each other's name on your wrists

Acknowlege 2 months, because that means the relationship might have a future, from then on its really at only things like 6, 9, 12, 18, etc

I don't plan on celebrating any type of anniversary until I'm married.

How do you really know when you actually got together, anyway?

That's a great point, Aimee. There's like a month or month and a half period of time over which my current girlfriend and I got together, so figuring out any kind of pre-marital anniversary would be tough.
