Yar wench! Yer dress be a fine lookin' garment on ye. Iz be recommendin' dese shoos fer your outfit. Shoes.
Me tinks de sil-var ones be best complimentin' yer frock. De capt'n tinks red and black shoe would overwhelm yer dress.
Yesterday, I was supposed to be going to the city with my mum to go to a new bookshop. Instead, I end up with her dragging me into a dress shop and buying me a dress for my dance. This is a good thing![]()
this is what it looks like:
and this is the detail on the front:
Now theres no great stress cause the dance isn't for a good month or so yet, but I'm looking for some shoe ideas! The plan is to have a black and silver sparkly necklace of some description, that hangs down near the cleavage... I don't know if I'll have to make one cause I might not be able to find what I want. I'm thinking the same colours (black, silver, and sparkly) for the shoes, but I need some ideas... I looked in Betts, Zu, Emporio, and David Jones and didnt see a single pair I liked.
I'm absolutely in love with those stacked heel patent leather slingbacks but they look so uncomfortable... and expensive! The cheapest pair I saw was $100.
so:And any good ideas for makeup as well if you think of some. Don't worry about the hair, I've got that sorted.
- a pair of shoes, in red, black, silver, or a combination
- under $100
- preferably from a shop that is also in Australia
Thanks in advance for any replies I might get!

hahaha i love captain morgan. if that's you in the pic i think that dress would look nice on you, and i like the shoes the captain picked out for you, nine west always have really nice shoes, check out their other stuff too.
."..and are you still taunted and ignored by your circum-muthafuckin-stances?" Habibi
I said what, what in the butt?
Yeah, black and silver shoes...are just...to 80's. Something about black and silver shoes with a red dress just takes a the classyness of a red dress down a level. Breaks it up too much..
Im a fan of bronze shoes with red. Not gold. But bronze. Or if your set on silver jewlery, then just plain silver shoes would be cute.
Id also reccomend something ankle straps, then paint your toesy's red. Hot.
Thanks Retro, I was planning to do my nails red but having an ankle strap sandal is a good idea... and yeah, thats me in the picture, mum decided to take lots of piccies to send to my rellies >.<
I like those shoes from ninewest and it has a store in perth! but when I looked on the website, the store had totally different stuff, so I need to go into the city and check it out.
What do you all think of that style with the strap running up the side? I saw a cute pair like that but thought they didn't have much support, that I'd just kinda walk out of them...
Here's a nice pair of ankle strap shoes from the ninewest in australia, what do you think? they don't have them in silver, only black, green, and pink. and they're on sale![]()
Retro, I'm not stuck on any colour at the moment so I might go and have a look for some bronze shoes, I haven't seen many around though, maybe I'm just not looking hard enough.
The reason I'm going for a bold piece of jewellery, and I thought black and silver would be bold colours against the red, is because between now and then I'm shaving my head to raise money for cancer research. Coz the neckline of the dress is so low, I have to kinda 'fill' the space from nearly my belly button to my face.. well not fill, but put something there to break up the amount of skin on show. I can't decide wether to wear a scarf or hat on my head, or just go bald <_<
Thats why I picked those colours for shoes, I thought it might work better if they matched the jewellery. If you've got a better idea for the jewellery please tell me!
thanks for all your help, specially captain morgan for finding the shoes![]()
nice shoes....
you know what comes next
I cant fathom (farthom?...farthem?...PhantomPhan..help me haha) up a heel colour OTHER than red to go with a red dress...something about red its all or nothing...excluding black boots, oh my god...dang it's for a dance...nevermind![]()
Sweet as the Punch.Syco- "The Empress is the latter leg of this triad, representing the physical body and the material world. From her comes all the pleasure of the senses and the abundance of life in all its forms. She is also the mother archetype, and through her we get a first glimpse of the power of love in the Tarot." I think this is all representative of awesomly large tits, no?
don't go too heavy on the make up..
you've got a beautiful face and that dress is going to steal the night
once your hair is done you'll be set

I was planning on foundation, a little bit of black eyeliner and mascara, and red lips to match the dress. It shouldn't be too much if I'm careful with the liner, I don't wear much makeup normally.
I won't have any hairI'm considering buying a cheapo little wig like a black bob or something, I'm going to see how I feel when I'm bald. It's either that or a hat, and I can't find any cute ones that suit the dress.
