I recommend using a leave-in conditioner. Any kind will work, but I like Pantene.
My hair has been so staticy lately.
Can't touch it, or it just gets worse. If I don't touch it, it clings to my face and anything that comes near it. I stopped using blow dryers and my flat iron, thinking maybe ditching the heat would solve my problem, but nope, that didn't work, either. Still clingy, although not as bad. I just end up waiting 4.5+ hours for my hair to air dry, and still cling to me.
I know the bounce trick, but I really don't like doing it. My hair feels gross afterwards.
So what do you ladies do to combat winter static?? I don't want to put my hair in a half pony for the entire winter. But I also don't like a ton of product, but if there is one that helps, I'll try it, as long as it doesn't make my hair really stiff.

I use a little Biolage Smoothing Serum on the ends of my hair. That usually does the trick for frizziness or excess static. Do not use on scalp or top of hair as it makes your hair look too shiny, i.e. greasy.

haha yeah I was thinking the same.
That Biolage stuff is the shit, I just had my hair cut last week and brought some of that stuff, best shampoo and it smells so good too. Mind you it is quite expensive but you only need a tiny amount per usage.
Also have you looked into what sort of brush you use? I had a real crappy brush for static even though it said it was anti-static. You might just need to switch your brush.
But yeah I agree with Amelia about getting some Biolage products.

Yep I use Biolage Shampoo, Conditioner and the Smoothing Serum too. Smells heavenly and works very well.

I actually stopped in my hair dressers yesterday to make an appointment, and asked. And they gave me biolage leave in conditioner. I'll look for the smoothing serum when I go in to get my hair coloured.
I already use a leave in conditioner but its probably really crappy, so hopefully this one actually works.
As for my brush, I don't use one when I let my hair air dry, cause I get mad curls. I comb it out after my shower, put in my product and leave it to dry.
I do use a brush when I straighten it, but guaranteed that static comes from way too much heat, sucking the moisture out of my hair.
And satisfied, I've heard satin pillow cases are supposed to be good for static control. But would it really make a difference if my hairs getting staticy only after a shower? The girl also told me to spritz static guard on my brush, but when my hairs curly I can't brush it, but I'll try it when it's straight.

i'll give you $20 if you actually shave your head.

has the staticy-ness been only recently? it's probably due to the change in the weather and your hair is dry. the leave in conditioner should od the trick![]()
