    I was shopping today and randomly decided to buy knitting needles and yarn... and have just finished my first cast-on row.

    The last time I knitted was when I was about 10 and my mum showed me how!

    I have no idea what possessed me to start knitting again... but since I have... what should I make?!

    Anyone else knit? Or is it just crazy ol' me?

    I just learned over the summer. So far I haven&#39;t tried anything off a pattern. I made some crazy bookmarks that I embroidered around and sewed buttons on so they look like funny faces. And I made a potholder. And I made a crazy cat toy for a friend with buttons on it and crazy hair. I&#39;m currently working on a crazy cat toy friend for it since he loves it so much. I&#39;ve also got a scarf in the works that I mostly knit in the dark on a car trip and watching a movie. It has a bunch of holes in it. I&#39;m thinking I Want to learn crochet now.

    I used to belong to a knitting club which was loads of fun because it was social, plus you got good ideas/feed back from other people... and most of the get togethers were at bars which ment you can knit and drink. You should join a knitting club!

    Lately iv been making baby sweaters, like little cartigens then i decorate them with big fake flowers and shit. They are funny. Im going to try an adult sized one! You can make leg warmers, lol. Blankets! I made a hat a while ago which turned out really cute. And then of course scarfs.

    You can go to the library and find knitting books which are cool because they give you little project ideas and teach you knew stitches/casts or whatever.

    i tired to learn to chrochet over x-mas break. i started making a scarf for my b-friend. but like everything else in life, that got held up when i had to start working again. its all wonky anyways

    I crochet, but I really only know how to make blankets. And I pretty much just know one stitch. I&#39;m pretty good at that one stitch, though.

    omg look at me i&#39;m knitting i&#39;m so random! haha. any aussies here automatically think of summer heights high? no? just me? thats cool.

    yea i knit it&#39;s awesome good therapy. i can only do it for about 5 minutes at a time because my attention span is so short, hence i&#39;ve been working on the same piece for about 2 years now and it&#39;s only about 40cm long. but that&#39;s cool. i&#39;m not doing anything with it anyway.

    I knit all the time, I can&#39;t stay still during movies, so my friend taught me how to knit so I wouldn&#39;t fidget all the time. My problem is I don&#39;t really know how to make anything, or end the what could be a scarf, which makes me rip it all apart and restart.
