welp, after reading some of the replies in the A-Game wardrobe topic, I figure Id take it upon myself to enlighten you guys on the importance and sheer pussy factor of having good style.

Rule No. 1 -- No cargos.

Cargos were all fine and dandy 2-4 years ago, but today they just dont cut it. Cargos make you seem childish, immature, and to me, takes away from the whole clean cut 'man' look you should be going for. So, trade those cargos in for some plain ole khaki shorts, and dont be afraid to vary the color (blueish-gray is always a nice choice)

Rule No. 2 -- Dress To Impress

Noone ever got laid wearing spiked pants that go 8 feet below youre feet (sorry Spikey) and wearing shirts that say "I fucked your grandma" (sorry again spikey). However if you are hell bent on pissing people off, trying doing it with style. Perhaps try this shirt.. with some dark khaki shorts and some tennis shoes. Not only will you look like that all-american boy, but youll also accomplish the goal of offending anyone in the Virginia's..

However there is rarely even an instance of being too dressed up. Unless youre wearing a tuxedo to class, theres no harm in giving yourself a little class. A polo dress shirt and some dress pants are easy to coordinate and easy to pull off. However always wear it tucked in with a belt. And always make sure your belt matches your shoes. A dress shirt should ALWAYS be tucked in. This look will give you a very sophisticated and classy appearance without much trouble at all.

Also another way to look upscale yet casual is the jeans and sportsjacket look. Mainly worn at sporting events in the south this look is very easily accomplished. Simply put on a nice pair of jeans (no off colors, preferably a light blue), a dress shirt (preferably a white polo) and top if off with a nice sports coat. However make sure that this sport coat is NOT a blue blazer, you dont want to look like you are going to a homecoming dance. Finish off the look with a nice pair of brown shoes or some boat shoes.

Rule No. 3 Look good when dressing down

Of course you wont always feel like dressing up. However it is fairly easy to look nice without looking dressed up. Simply putting on a pair of these shorts with a white polo shirt will give you that dress down look but still looking smug. Also, a nice pair of sports shorts (Nike soccer shorts are always a good bet) and a nice athletic (maybe a pro team) shirt can always be an alternate outfit when youre rolling out of bed.

Rule No. 4 Make sure the tie looks good

So youre going to a fairly formal event where a tie is required. Too many times Ive seen guys wearing nice suits and outrageous ties, and it was then that I took home their dates. The tie is always the main focus of formal attire so you want it to stand out, but not too much. Pay attention to what color your suit or dress pants are. Also everyman should have at least one solid tie of any color and a white dress shirt. A solid tie and a whirt shirt always match. However it is a little more difficult to match a patterned or colored shirt with a tire. And also, going out and buying the most bold and patterned tie isnt always the best best either. Just as not many men can pull off the pink tie, not many can pull of the extremely patterned tie. And floral patterns... always a no-no. And when going to a formal event, always wear black pants and black shoes. Also this should be accompanied by black dress socks with a pattern to match your tie if you are feeling extra stylish.

These are just the basics as there are many more things every guy should know. But the bottom line is, women like a well dressed man. If you roll outta bed in a wrinkled shirt and some cargos... expect to wake up the next morning like you did this morning... alone.

Ohhh Broken how I love you....

Yeah Im so not a fan of boys in Cargo pants. Eh. Dustin tried to skate by with wearing a pair of cargo pants the other day and i said "No. Go change your pants." Then I gave him the sad face and toyed with his belt and added "You look soooooo sexy in the new jeans i got you" followed by anotehr sad face. Ahhh. So i made him realize cargos were not the best option of clothing

Cargo shorts are better then cargo pants tho. Cargo pants just are the worst, no offense guys, but for the love of fashion put down the cargo pants and step away from them.

I would have to disagree. I dont like when guys tuck things in, seems too much like my dad. I like when guys wear dress shirt's, polo's or whatever and UN-tucked. It gives a more sexy, classy, but not old man look. It makes me swoon when guys wear a sheen-finished dress shirt, roll up the sleeves and leave it un-tucked. It makes me want to jump them. Now if i saw a guy in teh same outfit but with teh shirt tucked in id think "Huh thats how my dad dresses when he goes to church" Bleg.

I suggest you boys get some nice dress pants, forget wearing a shirt and just wear a tie.........ohhh.....myyyy......gawwwd. That would be like orgasm city

I loooove when guys wear some nice pants, even jeans, a white dress shirt or black maybe, with a tie thats all loose and not really AROUND thie neck..with a shirt un-tucked. Is it just me or does that look just scream "Come fuck me Retro.." Ohh I think so. But not every guy can pull that off. No, no. But if you can pull it my gawd DO IT!

    *sigh*

    You suck. Clarify!

Polo dress shirts and polo' shirts are DIFFRENT!

Polo's are just the short sleeve...look like tennis player shirts.

Then Polo DRESS SHIRTS are the long sleeved button up's.

Shiiiiiiit. Dont confuse me. Use Retro terminology!

That right there is teh look im talking about minus the hidious sweater casually tossed over his shoulders. Now your saying you would TUCK that in? Ugh. Noooo. Nooooo. Nooooo. "Hi dad, I like your TUCKED in polo dress shirt!"

Oh wait yoru saying if you dont roll the sleeves then tuck it in? Yeah thats o my dad headed off to church. I still think its passable to not roll sleeves and leave a few buttons unbuttoned and not tuck in.....you can pull it off exspecially with jeans or something.

I dunno im just partial to guys un-tucked. It looks more youthful and less dad like

Broken. . . you should start a fashion class for men. You'd make a lot of money. In my school, there's the kids who wear the same outfit everyday, then the kids who's moms pick out thier outfits, then the kids who pick out thier own, and it is EXREMELY obvious. . .
Maybe it's your future job. .. you're destined!

ps- happy almost one year sb for you

Its weird becuase throughout my high school and college career ive always gotten "you always dress so nice" compliments from girls, and I would always be like, fuck am I gay? But then I used it to my advantage..

not to say anything broken cause your style works for you but if people have different intrest and life styles yours wouldnt fit in. like say you go to some place out west where they have rodeos and stuff of that sort if you came rolling int with a polo shirt and some kakis while everyone else is sporting a cowboy outfit youd look pretty out of place.

You have very nice style Broken, I approve

Personaly guys bore me with their woredrobs. Their shoes never match their belt, their socks are always ugly, their shirts/pants are usually wrinkled, and i hate guys who wear T-Shirts everyday...actually im just not a fan of T-shirts, ugh.

Guys tend to think they can get away with waking up and throwing on something they peeled off their bedroom floor. eeesh, but its so obvious when they do that and so un-attractive i might add. Who wants to date a guy who doesnt even take the time to iron a shirt?

I always notice the guys who are dressed nice, and i do notice the guys who are dressed bad....but its not a good notice....it's just me laughing in my head and secretly making fun of them like this: "Haha, what a fucktard. What is he wearing? God damn i so wouldnt fuck him if he tried to pick me up in that outfit. Ew. I bet those pants havent been washed in a few days. Ew. What is he thinking with that T-shirt...was it in teh dirty clothes? Why is it so wrinkly? Ohhh he'd look so much better if he had something cute on. What an idiot" Im terrible i know. But i cant help myself.

See guys dont even have to dress preppy or anything like that. Just as long as their clothes arent all wrinkly and nappy looking and their shoes must at least match...then im cool. I dont exspect every guy to dress up becasue everyone has diff styles....but its just a matter of at least looking 'neat' in whatever style you wear.

So remeber boys. Iron your clothes. Make sure they are clean. Make sure your shoes match...and your belt matches. And at least but one minute of thought into what you plan on wearing. Then your good to go......

Ohhh and no wearing two diffrent colors of blacks! AGHHHHHH. I hate that. There is this kid at school who wears black everyday...but its always two diff blacks. Like he will have blue/black pants on with a fadded brown black shirt. Eeesh. No! That looks so terrible!

Boat shoes, do young guys wear those? They where big in the 80's and then they where old man shoes.

O, and those plaid shorts. Sorry not to offend anyone, I suppose it depends on whats fashion where you live.

But BS, the clothing you have shown and talked about are very safe conservative choices, and the polo L/S shirt could be worn in or out, it looked smart tucked in, and if you where having a golf business meeting for example, then it would be tucked in, it depends on the bottom of the shirt as well, as to weather you can wear it out .

I hope you have shares in polo.
