    Lockerz Website

    Has anybody heard of the new website called Lockerz? It's still in it's beta but it's a free website where you can earn points and cash them in for prizes. It's also not one of those websites where you give away your soul if you sign up and are plagued with spam for the rest of your email's life. They also ship your prizes free, to many countries around the world, the only catch is you may have to pay tax or whatnot on them.

    Right now, since the website is in beta, you need an invite to sign up. And it just so happens that I can invite all you lucky people! Yay! What's in it for me? Well, there's this pretty little snowboard I've got my eyes on and if I can invite 15 more people, I can get double points, plus two points for each person who signs up when I invite them. And well, I don't know 15 more people.

    They have a huge variety of prizes, though stock is extremely limited right now, they will be replenishing it relatively soon. Prizes include snowboards, 42" tvs, Macbooks, video games and consoles, and of course smaller prizes if you don't want to save up that many points.

    I remember I helped Digity with something like this way back when so maybe karma will be nice and a few of you may be interested in signing up and getting me a few points closer to my snowboard.

    I'm already on there, my wife is working with them on some social networking things and an email campaign. The thing is, when it comes to newfangled things, I really don't stick to them well. Take Myspace and Facebook for example. Yeah I'm on there, I upload some pictures from time to time, I have status updates maybe weekly. But I don't get into it like I used to. Biggest thing I did recently was add a few songs to my profile playlist and delete some people I added only for app purposes. I don't play the apps anymore.

    Lockerz is a cute idea, just doesn't work for me. Same goes for Iwon, Swagbucks, MyPoints, and all those online surveys I used to do constantly.
    I've been called a lot of things, but never funny.

    You know, I'm upset at the website. They kept saying "Oh, we'll be out of Beta soon" and by now I've kind of given up on them. I haven't visited the site in a month or so because how they're doing the prize redemptions is ridiculous. Until they are out of beta, I'm kind of staying away from the site.

    Oh well, at least there's Club Bing. It's a little more work but I've actually gotten good prizes out of that.

    That's lame. Hopefully they won't reset the points people have when the beta phase ends.
