They are mostly CPA (cost per action) ads that pay affiliate commission on click through's and customer action whether it's to sign up for a survey or buy the product. It's pretty huge. I use them on a few of my sites but frankly don't find they pay very well for me. I know some sites make a shitload from that stuff though.

Just to see what magic, miracle cure they were offering, but still. turns out that they're the same as the teeth-whitening ads in that they say the combination of two different commercially available products combine into some kind of super-elixir which will sort out all of your problems.
