If you're always going to go the cheapest route there isn't much point as it takes quite a while to rack up points. I suppose you could just join them all, but you'd be waiting a long time to see any benefit.
I'm guessing this is more up Like2's alley but I figured advice from anyone is good advice.
I probably should have started this awhile ago since I've already flown a lot but I'm going back to Nova Scotia this summer and then going onto France next spring. I foresee lots of traveling in my future so I've decided it's probably time to join some sort of rewards program.
So where do I start? The only thing I'm familiar with is the Frequent Flyers program right now. And also I have to keep in mind that flying is expensive so going the cheapest route is always #1.

I would say that flying the safest airline should always be Numero Uno priority, but I won't get on my soapbox here. I never have to worry about the FF programs, because as a nonrevenue passenger they won't let me accumulate miles.
I'd just figure out 2 airlines you're the most likely to use, and just apply for them. Be sure at least one of those has international flights to the destinations you're likely to travel.I'd opt for my company (Us Airways...shameless plug here), or Continental for the international stuff, or maybe Delta. CO and DL do fly to Pacific destinations, where we do not, as yet. Also, these will give you all the domestic coverage you'll need.
If you're going really cheap, Southwest and AirTran both have them. Some also link their "branded" credit cards to their FF program...you may want to check into that also.

stuff is just stuff. your emotional health is much more important. holding raging anger in is more harmful than your faggot-assed tv that probably deserves to get its ass beat anyway.
So...no response....... How very lame.
