I have a question, its a very weird question and i cant seem to be able to imagine an answer..
FYI im not racial or anything close to that, but my question is:
What would a child look like if it had a Chinese Mother and an African American father? Would it be more Chinese, and white, or would it be tan... etc

I would imagine it would have to do with the genes that come in meiosis, during crossing-over.
If you really want to know, look it up, but that would by my answer.
We all know people who are mixed-- do they look abnormal? No... its all part of our diversity
For example, someone who's mother is Caucasian and father is African could be dark skinned or light skinned, or somewhere in the middle, depending on how the genes pop up.
hopefully i'm accurate on this one... if not, search google, or another good source.
I imagine that a mixed african/chinese person would look like an ethinic Pakistani or Indian... or if the african parent was really dark, they might look like an Aussie aborigine.
They'd share traits of both parents, but it's impossible to predict which traits each child would have.

Tiger Woods is half black and half Thai. Although Thai and Chinese are definately not the same, they share enough physical features where you could get a good idea of what the person would look like. Golf skills optional.

If say the parents are Chinese and African American and they have say 3 kids, all the kids could look different as well, one might be more African American and the other might be more Chinese and the 3rd might be a even mix of both.
My 3 kids are a mix, they all are Caucasian/Maori. My husband is part Maori and even though my youngest has olive skin and dark brown eyes (you can't see the pupils, there so dark) my girls have hazel eyes, cause I have green eyes and Mal has dark brown eyes.
Our 2nd child has red hair, Mal and I don't have red hair, but it is on both sides of the family. Mine being Scottish background and if he grew a beard it would be a dark auburn colour.

SO i ended up with it. My mum's blonde and my dad has dark brown hair. I got bright red hair. Mum's got blue eyes, dad's got dark brown eyes. I got hazel eyes. Mum and dad's skin are light but my mine is that delicate light shit, where you burn constantly.
So I resemble neither of my parents. But according to family, i'm an exact copy of my great-great grandmother. Weirdness.

It's weird how things work out. My mother is Italian and my dad is French and German. My brother and younger sister are dark skinned with really dark brown eyes and dark hair. And my youngest sister and I are both fair skinned with lighter hair and blue eyes. We don't even look like we're from the same family. Of course the family joke is that we all have different fathers.
Anyhoo, back to your question...the woman I work with is half Chinese half African American. She's yellow skinned with a real Chinese lookin face. Kinda insteresting face. She's got great hair, though.

I used to work with a guy who's mom was African American and his dad was Japanese. Gah, he was sooooooo hot. He had this beautiful tan skin color. I can't say he looked more one race than the other. Him and his sister were a pretty even mix between the two. To be prefectly honest, I've always thought inter-racial children are the most beautiful. Don't know why...they always look so exotic or something. Ha, I'm just weird like that.

My kids are going to be Chinese and white, and I'm excited to see what they'll look like. I hope they have beautiful skin. Of course, my boyfriend has pretty dark skin, so I think it'll make a good combination.

A little story....
My oldest and youngest have the same eye shape. They have kind of chinese eyes. Anyway my mum had a photo of my oldest on the wall at her business and a male chinese client noticed the picture and asked who the picture was of and she said her grandaughter, "oh, you have a chinese granddaughter".
Haha, yeah my mum explained, but had to laugh cause she does look abit chinese.
