Ok this is a spawn off another talk I had with my girl. I read some article about this once, a loooong time ago so I'm gonna paraphrase. The "theory" went that women formed into semi-autonomous groups within larger communities of men and women, esp. when the men left on hunting trips, and they would turn to eachother for physical companionship.
It makes some sort of sense I guess, but I would wonder why that trait would carry on through the ages, unless maybe it provides another benefit. Maybe it makes a woman more attractive to a man?
