So, since I've been on my health kick - I've decided I really do NOT want to get pregnant until I'm where I want to be. I don't want to have any more work to do to get back into shape after I have a baby, and I want to be as healthy as possible during my pregnancy as well.
We don't use any form of protection. We haven't in a long time, because we were okay with a baby, if it happened. Since it's only temporary and I should be where I want to in 2 - 2 1/2 months, I dont want to go on the pill or invest in any other sort of birth control, like a diaphragm.
Would you be pissed if you had to go back to condoms, or OK if it was only short term? I don't like condoms either, but I REALLY want to be safe for the next few months until I'm where I want to be.

Where does he stand on the baby situation? Is he okay with not having one right now?
I know I wouldn't be pissed if spike said that he didn't want me to get pregnant for a bit and asked me to go on the pill... I mean... if I wasn't on the pill already, well... you know what I mean.

it sucks (only a little bit, it's still sex) but it's much more manageable (and nothing to whine about) compared to a baby.
Right... having a baby is a big step and you should only do it when both of you are ready. He should be understanding, IMO.

Maybe its just my own guilt - he so patiently waited for me to ok the no condoms without ever mentioning it, even though he HATES the ones he's able to use. And now Im making him go back
But whatever, its for the sake of my health and our hypothetical babys health when I do get pregnant. So hopefully he'll understand and be ok, and if not, his hands will get a nice work out in the next two months, I guess.

If you have health insurance, the pill is much less of a burden on you than a condom is on him.
So Id say its a little inconsiderate unless you have a good reason for not going on BC.

Yeah, but the pill does a lot to a woman's body and trying to find the right one... ugh... major pain... and for what... a few months?
I dunno... if it's gonna be more than 6 months, then I'd go with the pill, but less, I think it should be alright to invest in some condoms.

Well there is - increased risk of blot clots and heart disease because of family history, and the fact that the pill needs to be taken consistently every day, at the same time to be effective, the weight gain (which is what Im trying to do the opposite of right now), and the fact that the pill made me bat-shit crazy and suicidal. It took 2 full years for my body to regulate my cycle after I went off the pill. Which means I could go two years after I go off, without being able to get pregnant. I've been advised to never go back on the pill unless I *need* to.
Condoms are much less of a burden. They dont have long term physical side-effects, and they take just as much time to put on, as it does for me to pop a pill out of a pack, and down it.
And its only 2 months. If it were a long term thing, I would look into more long term methods like an IUD or so.

Oh I will. I cant stand them either, and they make me itchy like a MOFO after sex (I think Im allergic to latex, oh well). I am absolutely 100% willing to offer him an orrifice that cant get me pregnant if the condom is causing problems. I could use the extra protein
