    Iud

my girlfriend is swtiching from the pill to iud very soon, theres 2 reasons why, she dont like taking a pill everyday and we both dont like condoms, so is there any point of wearing a condom when we do it? is the IUD really effective? can it be used with any other birth control? what would happen if i blew it in her when she has the iud?

IUD's are just like any kind of birth control. They're not 100% fail-proof. While they failure rate for an iud is low - it still carries a risk, and IF a woman gets pregnant with an IUD in it can be dangerous.

So if you are absolutely 100% against having a baby, but still intent on having sex, I'd double up the contraception and use a condom with the IUD still.

I was under the impression that you could only get an IUD after you've had a baby already. I don't know who told me that, but is that totally incorrect?

The IUD can sometimes slip out of the uterus. Sometimes it comes all the way out. Sometimes it only comes out a little. This is more likely to happen to women who are younger and who have never had a baby. If the IUD slips out of place, pregnancy can happen. If it comes out only part of the way, it has to be removed.

I was thinking the IUD would be awesome for future sexual deviances with one person but after reading the facts about it my stance is strong on NO FUCKING WAY.

I read through ten random comments on an information site and every one of them was bad. Lower back pain, bleeding, infections, IUD "expulsion", pregnancies with the Iud nowhere to be found....FUCK THAT!

I think this is all representative of awesomly large tits, no?

Why don't they just make like a saline implant that sits in the womb like a fetus would. Baby can't grow if there's no room for it. It could even have a pregnancy test built in where if you're pregnant, it starts deflating and leaks a bit of blue food coloring out with the saline that stains your undies. That way you know it's failed.

I haven't heard a lot of good things about IUDs either. But maybe you should ask her to consider the nuva ring. You put it in and leave it in for three weeks and take it out for one week so that you can have a period. Its a LOT better than any birth control pill I've ever taken. The only bad thing that happened when I used it was that I kept getting yeast infections and I know it was the nuva ring that caused it because I'd never had one prior to using it and I haven't had another one since I've stopped taking it. Out of the six months I was on it I got four yeast infections. But every woman is different and she may or may not have the same side effects. But other than that I loved it and I hated to stop using it but I was tired of getting yeast infections. But I think you should definitely get her to consider it.

P.S. It kicks in in about a week and can be taken out during sex if you want, although most guys don't feel it but don't leave it out for more than two hours at a time or else you'll have to use another form of birth control for about a week.

Why don't you just put a fucking condom on? What kind of woman would want that shit in her uterus.

I (we) think they're really good. either the person who put it in, or the instructions, or the doctor, told us that you really don't need a condom, someone you'd be inclined to believe anyway. i think they make periods a little heavier, but my g/f hates the pill becuase all the hormones turn her into a nightmare over her period.

a friend of mine had a false labour after getting hers put in, which was her body trying to give birth to reject it, sounded fucking horrible!

also you can get some type that has hormones in, which are meant to be more efficient or something. maybe worth looking into...
