Thread: is it always about sex?

I waited until I was married, for religious reasons. I'm glad I did, but I wish I hadn't... if that makes sense.

I'm glad I did because I was way too stupid back then to pick the right guys and I would have made my teenage years even harder than they already were (I just know that about myself) - but I wish I hadn't at the same time, because sex is ... well, super fun.

So... who cares in the end. Everyday make a new decision, to wait or not. Who really cares. All I care about is that my decisions are my own (not for religious guilt and not because of what other people might think).

No it's not always about sex. Not all the time. Depends on the guy.

I wish it was, though.

Yeah that's not the line you started with. I don't really care if you want to save yourself. I think it's stupid and you're missing out on a lot for some moralistic reason, but I'm not overly invested.

But, you came in here extolling its virtues and saying it would lower the divroce rate, which isn't true, and using two wholly unrepresentative stories in a pathetic attempt to prove the superiority of your position. So natually I took issue with that. Don't try to play the victim.

My point initially was that because it makes no sense to wait until you're married, the vast majority of guys have no interest in doing it, which is why you're having trouble finding any. I'd suggest on looking for guys who don't want you just for sex, but instead view sex as part of a healthy relationship, be it short or long term. There's no practical difference between a long-term relationship and marriage anyway, it's all in your head.
