We're currently considering installing a blog system here at S-B. This would be linked to our forums, so that members here would be able to post comments on your blog if you choose.
Before we buy this, I'd like to get some input on whether you'd find this useful.

I kind of like that only S-B people I like check my blog currently. I wouldn't use it.

As much fun as blogging can be, I don't think I'd use one on here. I've tried not to let my friends know about S-B... not because it isn't cool, but because I don't have to guard what I'm saying and worry about people I know finding out, so sending them here for my blog would kind of ruin it for me. This is a good place to feel at home among strangers.
I'm not against these blogs or anything, I just see how some people could be reluctant.

Instead of buying the blog code, why not just have a little button in the profile that links to an Lj blog?

I think you shouldn't spend money on making special sb ones when there are free ones out there we can all use. i think the button link to an lj would be fine.
