The thing that troubles me greatly is that in America, there is a massive group of millions of people who would more than likely kill someone to ensure a baby makes it out of the womb, but as soon as it's out those same people couldn't give less of a shit if it died.

    Bizarre.

I really view it as a moral issue and the details are not as important to me as the step in the right direction, even if I wish it were a lot better. I do think I and many others would possibly be willing to take more entreprenurial risks, such as start a company, if I didn't have to worry about putting my family's health at risk if my policy lapsed. I think having the freedom to not need to worry about it--or have to live in a world where other people worrying about it is on my conscience--cancels out the hardships.

My facebook got annoying, too. I hate when people get all political with their wrong opinions. How can anyone not feel like a total immoral asshole by being pissed off that someone might be able to go to a doctor now. And, yes, the utter hyprocrisy if they are anti-choice on abortion. Everyone should be like me, the end!

That's true. The internet doesn't really lend itself to that sort of nuanced discussion.

Here are some pictures of some very stupid people who despite not knowing what socialism is, insist on fighting it....

These two reckon the new reforms are actually indicative of a Fascist state rather than a socialist one. But the top guy doesn't even realise the amazing irony of his banner (assuming he's a conservative)..

The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes... Adolf Hitler

Well from the view of the tea-partiers, they were opposed to the Iraq war so that's Bush as Hitler, and they're told that they're opposed to 'socialism' and that Hitler was a 'socialist' like Obama, so using a little doublethink it all comes together.

This is my cousin's facebook status:
"Dear Lord, this past year You've taken away my favorite actor, Patrick Swayze, my favorite actress, Farah Fawcett, my favorite singer, Michael Jackson and my favorite salesman, Billy Mays. I just wanted to let You know that Obama is my favorite president. Amen." ♥

It was followed by numerous people saying how much they love it. Seriously? This is what "good Christians" think?? I'm so confused by all of it. I understand disagreeing with the President, but wanting him to die? I don't care if it's supposed to be a joke or they find humor in it. I think it's terrible.

I swear, more non-Christians read the bible than these ‘good’ Christians.

    Romans 13:5-6 (New International Version)
Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.

1 Peter 2:13-16 (New International Version)
    Submission to Rulers and Masters
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men. Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.
(*note that ‘him’ in this passages is lowercase, referring to the afore mentioned human king and not the Christian God)

How can any Christian who believes his God is all knowing and all powerful think that he is sitting up in a cloud scratching his head saying, ‘Obama’s president of the US? How the hell did I screw that one up?’

Yay Obama! Now all he is to do is retract the lift on the ban he just pulled on offshore drilling so the country's medical system isn't bombarded by all the future catastrophes caused by a leap in carbon in the atmosphere.

    Ahole.
Syco- "The Empress is the latter leg of this triad, representing the physical body and the material world. From her comes all the pleasure of the senses and the abundance of life in all its forms. She is also the mother archetype, and through her we get a first glimpse of the power of love in the Tarot." I think this is all representative of awesomly large tits, no?

That surely makes it pretty difficult to separate church and state?

Depends on how you define 'separation of church and state'.
