    He's Dead

    and we suspect he committed a suicide. He was a friend of ours. I've been bawling my eyes out. He was such a great guy. I can't even imagine what his fiancée must be going through now. I dunno. I'm in shock, I'm apalled, and of course, I'm very, very sad.

    Thanks, both of you. He wasn't a close friend, but always made a good impression. And I wish we'd been closer, cuz I really liked him. He was one of my psych ward friends. Really intelligent. And he'd ALWAYS let me bum his cigs when I was out of them. He was such a nice guy. So it's a real bummer.

    Edit add: we suspect it was a suicide cuz he'd tried to kill himself many times in the past.

    So I'm going to visit his fiancée tomorrow. I feel awful about it. I'd prefer not to see her at all and push him as far away from my thoughts as possible. But I'm their friend, and friends don't do that, so I can't and I won't. Besides she needs as much support as possible at a time like this, it's the least I can do. I'm sure she'd do the same for me. Still, going there will be hard. Facing her, hitting the reality will be painful. I'm not sure how I'll cope.
