I had an interview today for a promotion. It's a position in which I'll be able to manage a team of 10-20 people of my own, instead of "coaching" (teaching them how to do their job) a group of 10-20 people.
I thought I was completely prepared for this interview. I prepared for 2 or 3 hours last night, and 2 or 3 hours today before my interview. I prepared for every question I thought they could possibly ask.
However, this interview was different. They didn't ask the type of questions I prepared for. Apparently, the questions were prepared by someone from another department, so they weren't geared toward what we actually do. Whatever. I was caught completely offguard, and I did horrible. I was not prepared for ANY of those questions. The looks on their faces were not very promising.
ARGH!!! I'm so mad!!!I hate it when I screw up. I don't do well with interviews at all.
They haven't had promotions for close to a year, and I'm beginning to hate what I'm doing right now. Oh, well. Nothing I can do now, I guess. Except for be embarrassed.
