cus you tube is so damn good, i'm giving it it's official topic which will hopefully get popular enough to pin.

basically, if you come across a cool video, or there's something you want to introduce to people, stick a link and a description here.

If you havn't checked out youtube yet, it's tyhe shit, basically search for anything, and you'll find a video of it, it seems to have more obscure stuff than limewire and bittorrent put together.

to start:

DJ Scotch Egg This dude is cool, he plays real nasty dance music using gameboy samples, this is a song from a live set.

Shpongle Absolutely amazing band playing a tune at some cool lookng festival, it's kinda chilled out dubby stuff, not their best song to be honest, but all i could find

Day at the beach actually, it's covered by someone, but still a WELL nice guitar ditty

Nile Sarcophagous, some good ole death metal, this one's for Shy_Gurl

Free party haha, this just made my day, it kinda sums up free parties.

Come on my selector Cool squarepusher tune with a video from Chris Cunnighma (the dude who did come to daddy/windowlicker videos) (there is music to it by the way, it just doesn't start for about three minutes)

Rodney Mullen Because you havn't seen skating until you've seen Mullen Flatlanding (incidentlyif anyone can find a stream of mullen vs song round 3 can you stick a link up? i saw it on tele ages ago and it was pretty awesome, mullen's been getting better {somehow})

Radiohead at Glasto um yeh, cus me tri and mal were very much in that crowd :P (also, iditeque, and Just, what an evening )

and lastly, a big psy trance party cus more people need to discover psy trance (Raja Ram is the dude from shpongle btw)

anyhoo, yeh, enjoy the video loving, and return it with cool things that other people wont know about.

Moloko - Fucking excellent live. Thankyou glastonbury for giving me moloko and roisin murphy

Beth gibbons

garbage

the cardigans

Take that - yes, I still fucking love them.

Barbara streisand and yentl - I really love barbara streisand, and I would like to marry her very much. I want to see her live, that's how much I love her, because I hate going places.

Dana fairbanks - excuse the dodgy fan video.

I could carry on all night, but I'll stop there.

yeh totally, i saw moloko at glasto 2000, on the jazz stage, was that when you saw them? wicked cool band!

have you heard Fun for me? it's my fav song by them, very phat, although the bass needs to be bigger than the video can handle.

Ooh, another one, Boards of canada 1969. it's not a proper video really, but its got some cool fractal thing going on. pretty amazing for enlarged psyches i would say.

aaand another one: Ninja tune by hexstatic, if you like ninjas....

and more:

tommy emmanuel playing a song that he describes as difficult! madness!

Manowar The undisputed kings of metal

Roots Manuva I don't normally like hip hop, but you can't argue with this tune (or video)

I guarentee if you grew up in the UK in the late eighties/early nineties. you will feel all new emotions when you see this

Squirrel Nut Zippers awesome loungey funky jazz tune

nice, will try and stop posting more and more on here

Yea I've never seen a video of shpongle live before, that looked pretty sweet! I wish that levitation nation video in the link list wasn't such terrible quality. That's probably my favorite song of theirs.

Man, Manowar. I just can't bring myself to like them. They're just too far.

Although excellent lyric in that song:
'May your sword stay wet, like a young girl in her prime'.[/b]
And quote in Wikipedia:
I'm prepared to die for metal. Are you?[/b]
I like Between the Buried and Me.

And Nile obviously.

2004 I think, I've heard fun for me. I think statues is my favourite. But you should definately check out roisin murphs solo album if you haven't heard it. Most underrated album ever.

Oi - Skall Mates - Sadness Aweseome Japanese Ska Band, doing one of their more laid back songs, Sadness. Musically Fantastic, even if the video is a bit tame

Oi-Skall Mates - Special Zoo Decidedly more up-beat Oi-Skall song.

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra - Filmmakers Bleed Awesome Jazz/Ska music from Japan (again)

Seven Seconds of Love - Submarine Awesome English ska band (and propierters of Rathergood.com). Great sense of humour and briliant horn action

Ich bin ein Ska-fiend...

But also, the early Goldfrapp stuff is really cool, as in the the Felt Mountain album. Black cherry was good, but Supernature is too Pop for my liking;
Goldfrapp - Pilots
