I've had like 5 people tell me I look like the lead singer of Paramore, and I totally don't, plus people are always like "She's the hottest redhead" Excuse me, she's not even a real redhead.

Never going to be sorry mate. England churns out plenty of shitty pop music but the US takes the prize when it comes to shitty fake rock bands who are SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT and a bit more SHIT. Like Paramore.
The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes... Adolf Hitler

WOW my post looks a little angry. I'm not angry I just hate bands like Paramore.

Maybe I should start putting valley girl tags around my posts that are intentionally super bitchy.

Anyway, you should probably just not listen to Paramore. They made a song for Twiiiiilight. But I think everyone is allowed to have those guilty pleasure shitty bands to love, so long as you know they're bad A good way to tell if something is bad?? If you could have written the lyrics when you were an emo 14 year old.

Ah, they wrote a song for Twilight!?! Well that confirms their utter shitness then. Seriously, anybody who likes that film needs to get out more.

Has anyone else noticed that a lot of female "rock" singers nowadays sound like Avril Lavigne?

Find a formuloa and stick with it. That's why record companies are so rich. The Paramore singer was probably taken from a girl-group or was a solo artist but got thrown into a band, madeover by a team of stylists and then given some songs to sing by a fat old bloke. Avril Lavigne herself was singing Celine Dion covers before someone realised they could make loadsa money out of her if they stuck her in Atticus t-shirts and baggy jeans.

If everyone says that yes it's cool will that make a difference? And why does it matter if it's cool or not?

I either like music or I don't, and I don't give a rats arse if other people think it's cool or not.
If you are going to base your music likes and dislikes on what other people think then you need to be very careful who you hang out with or you could end up thinking that Celine Dion is the epitome of cool.

Liking something you like without explanations is always cool. Listening to something you actually like instead of following the bandwagon is always cool. It's only for wannabes and losers to take actual pride in listening to what they listen - it's a matter of taste, more than anything, and everyone's permitted to have their own taste. It's only for teens to diss a band they actually like because it's not "cool". Sorry, Brew, but you need to grow up and let people like whatever they like, your opinions aren't superior.

I like pop music. So what??
