Back to school

I finally went back to school after two years. My work is paying for it, and I'd have to be stupid not to. I'm taking this Internet class (Statistics in Business & Economics), and it seems ridiculously hard. My boyfriend's taking it with me, so he can help me, but I'm not sure if I should keep the class. I have to take it eventually, but I'm thinking maybe I should take some other classes first (the prerequisites....makes sense, huh?). I'm just afraid of not passing it. If I don't, my work won't pay me back for it. Should I stick it out? Or drop it?

hmmm...i'd say stick it then if u dont pass take the prerequisites but im not sure. is it expensive?

Well, if I pass, I don't have to pay for it. My work pays for my classes if I pass with a "C" or better. So, I have to pass it. I'm going to read the first chapter right now, and see what I think.

Not with my existing job... It's a class that I have to take in order to get my degree, though. And the idea is that getting my degree will get me a higher paying job in a firld that I'm interested in.

Isn't there like a date that you have to drop it by. I dunno if its like that everywhere, but you can decide to drop the class by a certain date. BUT I don't think that would help you get your money back.

Yeah, there's a specific date (I think early September), but I really don't want to drop it. I want to stick it out. So, I think that's what I'm going to do. Supposedly, I'm need to plan on 9 hours each week for that class alone. That's not really a problem. The problem is that it's an Internet class, and it's my first one. That makes me nervous, because I like to have things explained to me, and be able to ask questions. I don't really like to wing it. I like specific, detailed instructions, because I'd rather do it right the first time, as opposed to having to come back and fix it later. I'm such a whiner....
