I have a job interview tomorrow.
I'm a bit nervous, I've claimed i've wanted this job for ages now, and it finally became vacant, so i thought i'd better apply. earlier in the year, i said "i wish i had that job" and then it was advertised, and i wimped out of applying for it. Then i met the person who got the job and realised i would have been a much better choice. So i decided I needed to apply for this job, just so i won't have any regrets about it later on.
3 other people have applied for the same job. I know all of them, which kinda makes it tough. I think it makes it a touch more personal. I also know where all their skills lie, and i'm having a hard time believing that anyone could think of me as capable of the job when compared to any of these people. Although heaps of people keep reassuring me and telling that i do have the skills and i need to stop doubting myself.
I need to walk in there and believe in myself.

Just got back from it. I think it went well. One of the guys i know who works there said i looked really good, if that counts for anything. The panel included one of my old teachers, and i think she'd love to see me get the job. All the other candidates are just so good though. So we'll see what happens.

i haven't heard anything officially. But the one applicant from out of town is being flown up today to get shown around. I assume this means they are considering giving her the job. My boss says it doesn't mean anything and things aren't always as they appear, so i shouldn't give up hope until something official has been said.
it will be good if she does get the job though, because her and her boyfriend have been doing the long distance thing for 18 months, and this means she can move up here and they can be together, and she doesn't have to worry about job hunting, because she'll already have a job. so good for them
