She was checking both eyes to compare pupil dilation. This is standard. But yea, stopping it after like 1 minute was garbage.
Oh well, that stuff is about as real as professional wrestling. Rigged as hell for TV ratings. Thus the rematch.

2:05 AM [Greaser] and it gets your dick hard?
2:05 AM [Lothar] yeah, it's that good
It was a really disappointing night. Fuck EliteXC. The only thing I like about it is Frank.
We all knew that EliteXC is banking on Kimbo as its cash cow star (who here read the nauseatingly adulatory ESPN Magazine cover article on him?) but I didn't think they would make it this obvious. I'll bet the head honchos were shitting their pants when Thompson was on top of him in the 2nd round. And why are people talking about Thompson like he's this legit fighter? He's a stooge.
Edit: Was it just me or did Thompson look noticeably less roided than in previous fights?
That's happened to a lot of guys that have made the transition from Pride/Japan to the states.
Most of the Chute Box guys are noticeably smaller.
And Sherk, despite what he says, was smaller in his fight with Penn.
Thompson is a can, and it pains me that he has a win over Don Frye.
Kimbo's career ended in 2004 when he got knocked out by Sean Gannon.
Of course it was a premature stop- it is in corporate interest to keep Kimbo undefeated as long as possible, to attract ratings. In reality he is not an impressive fighter and will get destroyed by anyone decent. Kimbo sucks, his best fight was that Gannon one too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Hella Skinny @ Jun 6 2008, 08:36 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div>Yeah that was a good fight. Funny thing too because Kimbo was built up to be this internet legend, but when you really look back at his previous fights, who did he beat? A bunch no skilled no names.Kimbo's career ended in 2004 when he got knocked out by Sean Gannon.[/b]
Sean Gannon was the first person he fought who was actually trained to fight, and Kimbo lost bad. Sean applied choke holds etc wearing down his endurance, and if it had been UFC or even extreme XC, Kimbo would have lost during the middle of the fight when Gannon was giving him knees to the face.
