I guess this goes in the sports section, I dunno where else to put it.

Who plays online poker? What sites do you play on? Post your name so other players can see if you're on and take your money!

I play as und3niable on pokerstars.com

I 4-table single table SNG's on full tilt once in a while.

I used to play almost full time 4 or 5 years ago when there were still fish everywhere. Now its not even a viable source of income, the games are so tight its ridiculous.

It's a hobby, not a sport.

If one is doing something professionally, why can't it be considered a sport?

On the flipside, if someone plays football/poker for fun, can't someone have a football/poker hobby?

Do NOT play bj online. Usually the largest deck amount you'll be up against at a casino is 6. Online blackjack uses 8 decks from what I've seen, and since it's computer generated, there are no runs in the cards.

Your only hope on that is to randomly make large bets and hope for the best. That's the only way to beat the online "house."

rhythmic gymnastics, dance competitions, and cheerleading competitions are televised on ESPN....

jus' sayin'

and Personman,

I the ability to do something professionally does not make it a sport.

generally in order to be a sport there has to be some sort of athletic movement occurring...
"While most men are constantly trying to work as hard as they can in order to add a little more mass to their bodies, the majority of women seem to believe that they have been blessed with the most extraordinary genetics ever and that they will blow up once they touch a weight."

I wasn't really asking if it was a sport, I just didn't know where to put this topic. I guess that was a bad subtitle. I just wanted to see who plays and on what sites.

I was listening to a show on the radio about these people who were professional online poker players. One guy, who was 20, had just bought himself a $70 000 car with his month's winnings. I found that a bit impressive. Pity i don't know how to play.

I was mad jealous of players my age who moved up the ranks and played for big money. But most those guys play like 20,000 hands a week, its not easy.

Only personman would see online poker as a sport. I'm just waiting for Warcraft players to start calling themselves athletes. Hey, if I sell DVDs professionally, then am I playing the sport of selling DVDs in a shop?
The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. These people know only too well how to use falsehood for the basest purposes... Adolf Hitler
