I'm convinced that the Cavs just have to take one on the road in order to win the series. But easier said than done.
I know the rest of the country wants Celtics vs. Lakers, but every one I know in town I think rates Cleveland vs. Detroit as higher than the finals themselves.

Whoever wins the Western Conference Finals will win the Finals, even if it's Utah.
Only Detroit will be able to take it to a full series, and they will still lose.

Agreed. Boston is highly over-rated, but who would expect anything different from the fine folks at ESPN?

Boston may be over-rated to a degree, but they also went 25-5 against the Western Conference this year and beat every team in the league at least once. Beyond that, they also had a +10 per game point differential against their opponents. To put that in perspective, it's the highest per-game point differential since Jordan's Bulls. San Antonio was the highest in the league last year at +7.5. Their defense is literally one of the best defenses of the past 25 years.
I don't think many people think they're actually going to win the whole thing, but they're a very good team. Their achilles heel is that Doc Rivers is a terrible coach, which is really going to hurt them in a 7-game series, but if it weren't for that, I think they probably should be favored to win the title.
Statistics are like prisoners, torture them long enough and they'll tell you whatever you want to hear.

The west is also overrated. I think at least 5 of the teams that made the playoffs in the east had better records in te west than they did in their own conference.
I hate the spurs... they get all the effing garbage calls like the Duke of the NBA. This isnt high school bball, ref a game without bias.
