Pac-10 is 10-6 against the SEC from 1998 to 2008. They win.

And again, to begin the season a ranked SEC team gets curb stomped by an unranked Pac10 scrub. why can't the sec handle the pac? Who knows.

Tenn loses to Pac10 host Cal 45-31 to start off last season. Tonight 18th ranked Tenn gets beaten by unranked Pac10 host UCLA, 27-24. UCLA had their third string (NOTE: not kidding) quarterback in for the entire game- he threw 4 pics in the first half alone. Yet here we are.

The SEC won't ever catch up to the pac and even out that record, not in a million years.[/b]
i wouldn't say an OT loss is a curb stomping...but it was a very very good game, and I'm damn glad UCLA won, give their defense some props, those guys are stout.

Hey, we'll see your conference in Miami this January.

That is, if you guys all buy tickets to the game before they sell out.

The amount of time USC has spent as the number one team in the country in the past 5 years is just.... freaky.

Lol @ you claiming tennessee is an SEC power. Tennessee has been a .500 team over the past 4 years. They were only a 7 point favorite against UCLA.

    The Pac-10 is garbage.

PS - Your 10-6 argument is retarded. 10-6 is not even close to a big enough sample size or margin to consider it anything other than random.

0-10 with ONE team against a conference is a hell of a lot more decisive and statistically significant than 10-6 conference vs. conference. I know you kids arent retarded enough to actually think that 10-6 is anywhere near significant.

if you flip a coin 16 times, youll get it to land one way 10 times 23% of the time just due to random dumb luck. When you factor in the randomness of matchups and strong pac 10 teams playing weak SEC teams, etc, its no better than a coin toss which conference is better using this caveman method.

If you actually look at statistics, power ratings, and sagarin ratings, the SEC has clearly been the dominant conference over the past 10 years.

USC being atop the rankings has nothing to do with how good they've been. It has everything to do with how fucking shitty the Pac-10 has been (is).

Put UGA, LSU, Fla in a cupcake conference like the Pac-10 and they'd run the table every year too. The fact is, however, that they all have to play in the toughest conference year in and year out and beat the shit out of each other. Then to top it off, they go out and shit all over OSU, who doesn't even have to play a conference title game. (nor does USC)

Madcatter what the fuck are you smoking. Flipping a coin is not analagous to playing football. Can someone really be this stupid? I talk about the scores of the actual games, and you brush this off in favor for the idea that a team's win/loss record is very similar to the outcome of flipping a coin 16 times?

Actually, Copernicus, USC didn't play a Pac10 team this week. They smashed Virginia in Virginia, who resides in the ACC. Nice try, but maybe if you actually owned a television and watched football you'd know what the fuck is going on. Georgia fell from the #1 spot immediately, because they gave up 21 points to a 1AA team at home.

What about when Cal smashed the SEC east champ last year. What about when USC smashed Arkansas in Arkansas, the SEC west champion that season in 06. Those weren't coin flips, those were football games.

I bet if you posted these 16 games, the point spreads, the results, and averaged it all out, it would be about like flipping a coin. The teams that were supposed to win, probably won, the ones that were supposed to lose, probably lost, and there may have been an upset or two each way. You clearly don't understand statistics, probability, or sports betting.
