    2010 NBA Playoff Thread

Last week of the regular season...
Time to pay attention to the NBA!

So one season later and after dropping the 300 lbs of Steve Kerr fail that was Shaq, Nash and my running Suns are back in Title contention in the NBA Playoffs.
Right now they’re battling for a higher Playoff seed to get homecourt advantage and have a deciding game with the Nuggets in Phoenix today with one regular season game left after that.

Also impressed with Durant and OKC with straightline improvement since they moved and taking that new team to Playoffs.

    P.S.
    Kobe still sucks.

    BLEH!

NBA = one team attacks and scores...the other team attacks and scores...occasionaly someone actually defends or an attack goes wrong and the game goes in the favour of the other team.

Support your 'local' MLS team San Jose Earthquakes!!!! It's not too far from Arizona!
The broad masses of a nation are always more easily corrupted in the deeper strata of their emotional nature than consciously or voluntarily; and thus in the primitive simplicity of their minds they more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie, since they themselves often tell small lies in little matters but would be ashamed to resort to large-scale falsehoods. It would never come into their heads to fabricate colossal untruths, and they would not believe that others could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously. Even though the facts which prove this to be so may be brought clearly to their minds, they will still doubt and waver and will continue to think that there may be some other explanation. For the grossly impudent lie always leaves traces behind it, even after it has been nailed down, a fact which is known to all expert liars in this world and to all who conspire together in the art of lying. Yeah, in basketball the offense is overpowered, and in soccer, the defense is overpowered.
But at the end of the day, one number is still bigger than the other... at least with basketball. :P

There is almost no sport more fast paced than basketball except maybe hockey.
Soccer is boring to watch but a huge rush to play.

Way to send a message, Suns...

    Dear Portland Trailblazers,

Even though we won 14 of our last 16 games, won 9 straight at home and wiped the floor with both the Nuggets and Jazz taking 3rd seed in the West, we're all hype and cant play defense or make clutch plays to save our lives when it really counts. You can beat us in this series without half your starters, your star scorer or homecourt advantage. Have confidence, you guys can do this!

    Sincerely,
    Phoenix Suns

I dunno man, English footy is pretty damn fast-paced. There's just a bigger playing surface. I feel pretty much exactly the opposite of how you do hehe. I think basketball is boring to watch and great to play. It just seems almost too easy if you catch my drift.

    Haha, seems easy?
I don’t know about you, but trying to throw a 10 inch basketball through an 18inch hoop that is 15 feet away and 10 feet above the ground with an angry 6’10” black man’s stinky pits in my face would give me pause.
    Heh…
    (sorry, no metric :P)

I can understand the century old argument that baseball is boring, but basketball?

I think you need to watch a Suns game.
They play fast; the fastest and highest scoring team in the NBA like they have been since around 2004.
They’re only boring when the other team tries to slow the game down and make it boring.
That’s what Portland did to us Sunday and it’s our only weakness.
It’s also the reason I, along with many other Suns fans, are pissed that we lost.

Gosu, it doesn’t mean we hate the Suns.
We just really want them to win and get pissed when they lose in an upset game to an inferior, injury ridden team that we should be mopping the floor with.
Who is ever happy when their team loses?
Hell, the Suns themselves are even more pissed.
