    buying a 37" hd lcd

    any suggestions etc budget is around 500, 650 extreme most

    looking at the panasonic viera, samsung, and vizio, yay or nay?

    720 vs 1080? i mostly play ps2 and watch movies mostly dvds maybe upgrade to blue ray?

    I wouldn't say same quality...but I would say that it's "good enough." Whatever you do buy, I'd try and buy from Amazon, that usually simplifies things because not everyone can safely transport a 37" TV in their car without risking breaking it. They also are generally cheaper, and are considered an "authorized reseller" by most manufactures so the warranty still applies.

    Vizio may be an American company but their TVs are made overseas in either China or Taiwan. And LG supplies Vizio with their screens.
