no i did not sign up for any of their stupid newsletters

i guess i came across rude, that was not my intention

Its free a free e-mail account, what did u expect? I think of it like those banners that sites on those free servers have to have.

Its kinda funny though, Hotmail sells your e-mail, and then they spend all that time making "advanced" spam filters ... maybe if they just didn't sell the e-mail in the first place ...

one more thing to add, in my hotmail that i use daily, i get spam that has variations of my email personloser.....personman69......ect ect
and with my own email, there is a fake name .....just adding details

those are dictionary attack spams. basically the spam program just tries any and every cobination of words, letters, and number. and because your name is the combination of two real words it makes it more likely to be hit by a dictionary attack

should i create a more complicated email name? maybe a word that has no meaning.... i dunno

it wouldn't help too much you'll still get hit, but not quite as much. maybe 19 instead of 29

spam sucks

I never get any spam in my hotmail.
but my email is thegirlisgrey so its a combo of like four words.

I would not mind a "hotmail"

im pretty sure its all the cookies hotmail puts on your computer, hot mail used to be the best, then microsoft bought them... now its gone to hell... like all things microsoft buys
